18K white gold limited edition

In 2019, Lange celebrated the important milestone of the LANGE1 watch series, and specially launched the GRAND LANGE 1 MOON PHASE ’25th Anniversary’, which is also the second work of the anniversary series. Features include a solid silver-white dial with blue numerals, graduations, and blue date, and a blue alligator leather strap with coordinated tones and grey stitching. In addition, this is the first Lange watch with a hand-engraved solid 18K white gold moon phase plate. The hand-sculpted six stars and multiple dots create a bright starry sky, which reflects with the moon to form a unique and three-dimensional charming night scene.

直径 GRAND LANGE 1 MOON PHASE, released in 2014, is 41 mm in diameter, which is 2.5 mm longer than LANGE 1 MOON PHASE. The moon phase display can remain accurate for 122.6 years, and its size is larger than the latter, and it has moved from the small second dial to the main dial with hour and minute displays. This layout ensures that the GRAND LANGE 1 MOON PHASE provides ample space for the astronomical complex decoration that this Lange moon phase watch is equipped with. The large Lange calendar display has also been increased by 4%, making the overall appearance more harmonious.

The calibre L095.3 can be seen through the sapphire crystal caseback. This movement is carefully decorated and reassembled, and has the classic characteristics of the LANGE 1 watch series. The 3/4 plywood is made of untreated German silver and decorated with Glashütte patterns. At the same time, the screw balance and the balance spring developed and manufactured by the watch factory can be seen. The hand-engraved balance wheel splint for fixing the balance wheel is fused with a special engraving design: a floral pattern displays the number ’25’ around the large Lange classic calendar window. All carved grooves are decorated with blue coating.

The number ’25’ represents the anniversary of the first Lange series in the new era. On October 24, 1994, Walter Lange, the company’s founder, and his partner Günter Blümlein displayed the first relaunch of the brand at the Dresdner Residenzschloss in Dresden. Four watches, and LANGE 1 is one of them. This watch combines the eccentric dial layout and the classic Lange calendar display, which is known as the model of Lange’s watch. To celebrate the anniversary of the LANGE 1 watch series, the brand will present limited edition classic models every month until October 24, 2019.
